Oahu
Oahu is the most populated island of Hawaii with a population of just under 1 million and the third largest island. Oahu is home to nearly 80% of the population of all the Hawaii islands. The state capitol is Honolulu which is on Oahu. So it is aptly nicknamed “The Gathering Place”.
Oahu is world renowned for it’s surfing on the 50+ miles of beaches and close to 600 places to ’surf’. The [tag]North Shore[/tag] has been home to hundreds of ’surfing’ movies and documentories and the waves entice surfers from around the globe.
The interior of [tag]Oahu[/tag] also holds many surprises for the Oahu visitor. Oahu is home to several state parks, the largest number of golf courses in Hawaii, the largest number of Historic sites and the most miles of beaches.
Oahu is the most cosmopolitan of all the islands and offers many of the same nightlife activities that any major U.S. city has to offer.
