Shoyu Chicken Shoyu Chicken

1 1/2 cups Water
1 1/2 cups Aloha Shoyu Soy Sauce (Do not use Kikkomans)
1 cup White sugar
3/4″ X 3/4″ cube of Ginger Root - sliced thin
I bag frozen Chicken legs or thighs

Pour the Shoyu and water into a big pot
Place on stove top on high, warm the liquid enough to melt the sugar- add the sugar and ginger root - stir until diolved
Add the chicken and bring to a boil
Reduce heat and gently boil for 45-60 (if frozen) 20-40 mins (if thawed) or until chicken is falling apart and easily comes off the bone.

Serve with short grain (Calrose) White Rice and Hawaiian Sweet Bread
