Meaning of the name Kualani?

This is a hard one to answer. Depending on how it is sounded out and if any ‘Okina is used.

Here is a breakdown of the words within the name.

Kua means ‘back’ and lani means ‘heavenly’.
Ku means to ’stand’ and alani is the word for ‘orange’.
or
Ku`a`lani would be ku (stand) a (turn on) lani (heavenly)

So ‘Heavenly back’ looks to be the literal meaning.
