Maui Helicopter Tour Over Volcano National Park
Jim asks:
Are there any helicopter tours from Maui that include a view of Volcano’s National Park?
Aloha Jim,
Yes, there is a helicopter tour that flies from Maui over to the Big Island and Volcano National Park.
Big Island Volcano Air Tour Ultimate Experience
Fly from Kapalua in the morning or Kahului at sunset and experience the wonder of Hawaii’s only active volcano, Kilauea! This must-do activity offers the safest and most sure way to see lava flow; if you’re lucky, you might even see snow caps on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.
Mahalo for asking here on Hawaii Questions!

I was on the Big Island last month and graduating with geology degree from Occidental college, I really wanted to see the lava. Unfortunately, when I got to Volcano national park on the Big Island, they do not allow you to get close enough to see any volcanic activity. So I ended up taking this Hawaii volcano helicopter tour from Safari Helicopters. I did experience a little motion sickness, so I recommend taking something for that before getting on the helicopter, but the views of the Hawaii volcanic activity were awesome. I highly recommend taking some type of helicopter tour to see the lava if it’s something that interests you.
